Designed to operate with existing DMX-512 control systems, the Meteor Show Expander offers Light Show Designers and Operators a simple cost-effective approach to expanding and modifying existing programs. Until now each new program or new sequence had to be entered and stored one step at a time - a lengthy, time-consuming task often verging on boring. Hence many Light Shows consist of only one routine which gets played over and over again. Re-programming is seen as arduous and the job of an expert. Even changes on-the-fly are restricted to the more expensive systems. Now the Meteor Show Expander changes all this!

By utilizing The Show Expander's channel inversion capabilities chase routines are modified by simply pressing a button or toggling a switch. Hence a lighting sequence running in the NW corner will now move to the SE corner while an intelligent scanner sequence scanning in a CW direction is made to scan in a CCW direction all at the touch of a switch. Lighting sequences can be interrupted in time with the beat of the music, enabling real-time alterations similiar to the scratch and mix creations of the DJ. Even inexperienced operators can modify the Light Show without the risk of crashing the system.
